What is your middle name? Does this have a special meaning?
My parents only gave me one first name: Kim. That cannot be abbreviated and nothing strange can be rhymed with it.
This has been considered
My first name should not be abbreviated and it should not rhyme with something that I could be bullied about. In 1981, Kim Wilde had a hit with Kids in America. That’s how my parents got my first name.
My brother’s name is Roy, also short and sweet, not abbreviable or something strange that can be rhymed with it. They were first thinking about Giel, but Giel became retarded, so it ended up being Roy. He did get a middle name, Gerard, named after our grandfather. We were also not given exotic names where no one knew how to spell them. My name has never been misspelled, which is handy. My friends usually call me Kimy/Kimmie, which I just like. I’ve never had any problems with my name actually. I had many Kimmen in my area of the same age. At one point we had three Kims in our group of friends.
