My weekly 08/2024 with lots of sports, a horse in the house for the ladies and finally an ecstatic rave for the first time.
Monday
Work: Started early because I also had to stop early.
Kids: The ladies were on holiday, so they could lie down.
Nina making croissants. Enjoy.
Sports: Exercise your shoulders for 20 minutes during the break.
Kids: Took the ladies to the riding school. Prince was actually in the stable again, so they were very happy that they could cuddle him. He was ill for a while and was alone.
Family time: Made date bars in the evening with the three of us.
Fathers: Stepfather stopped by. Arranged direct debit for water board for him.
Me-time: Started a new Netflix series in bed.

Tuesday
Kids: Going to the cinema with grandpa and grandma.
Sports: 20 minutes of back strength training.
Running together at the end of the afternoon. First a tour of the fortress and then intervals in our nature park.
Mom: ABN Amro called to say that I had to change the response form, because I had stated that the correspondence address could remain the same, but that had to be my own address. So well done.
Family time: Wrapping presents together and deliberately placing them in the living room, so that he could become curious.
Me-time: Trying on and ordering two glasses online, I’m curious.

Wednesday
Family time: It’s my husband’s birthday, unpacking presents together.
Sports: Going to the gym together.
Fathers: Stepfather blood test, always the day before chemo. His iron levels had never been better.
Mom: Stepfather picked up my mother’s annual statement at work, which I need for income tax, and immediately handed in her old cell phone.
Family time: Made a cheesecake and butter cake with the ladies.
Me-time: Finished the series ‘One Day’. A bit of a sad ending.

Thursday
Work: Nice and relaxed.
Kids: The ladies cycle to the school together. They wanted to check on the others who had a half-day pony. And of course eating toasted sandwiches.
Sports: Lunch 20 minutes abdominal strength training.
Fathers: Stepfather chemo boost 3 today. The taxi on the way there was more than half an hour early, not really nice. On the way back it was way too early, so my stepfather was still on chemo and the taxi driver wasn’t going to wait, so I picked him up. Of course I was behind a truck going 30 all the way. I didn’t take the photo, that was my daughter sitting next to me.
Mom: Received the overview of her bank accounts from the ABN on the day of her death, immediately forwarded to the notary for inheritance tax.
Mortgage called again, because I had forwarded the outstanding amount of the lease car last Friday. But now they had to have a copy of the contract again and a copy of the lease amount. Sigh, there is something every time, there is no end to it.
Family time: Tidying up desk drawers together with the ladies. So much junk and luckily a lot of it had to go. It’s great to clean up, especially throw it away. 😉
Visiting my in-laws, eating delicious cake.

Friday
Work: Last day I get up nice and late and sit behind my desk. The ladies’ holiday is almost over.
Kids: The ladies continue with the last bit of cleaning up their desk in the living room, testing all the markers and throwing them away if they no longer work properly.
My husband and the kids pick up a wooden horse, their dream comes true, and my living room is now full. 😉
Mom: Received a letter that a canceled trip can still be reimbursed if I provide documents. I couldn’t find anything in my mother’s bookings.com account, but I could find it with my stepfather. So data was forwarded to travel insurance. Oh well, why not try.
Cat: Whiskey suddenly, out of nowhere, bit me hard in the leg. Softy. Later she came to lie on my lap again, I thought it was a bit scary.
Sports: Afternoon strength training arms 45 minutes. The exercises on the ground were difficult with a well-present cat.
Me-time: Flipped through Wabi Sabi book, made notes.
Ordered tickets for House Classics, fun, fun.

Saturday
Me-time: Got up nice and early, everyone was still asleep. Made my website multi-language, now also blogs in English.
Kids: The ladies are happy that Sara is back from holiday, the three of them play non-stop, also on the horse in the living room.
Me: I kept track of my diet today, because I think I eat way too little for someone who exercises so much.
Sports: 25 minutes of calisthenics legs, I’ll never do that again, pfff.
Kids: The ladies were taken to the riding school in the afternoon.
Sports: Walked for half an hour, in the pouring rain.
Kids: Sara had dinner and stayed with us, they had built a hut where they slept.
Me-time: In the evening I suddenly had a huge stomach ache, so I went to bed very early.

Sunday
Me-time: Early morning rave in Amsterdam. Beautiful live music & mantras, then nice techno and finally turning completely inward.
Eating with Mimmie in some vague tent.
Sports: Skating and watching football at home.

My weekly 08/2024 ended with a lot of muscle pain due to calisthenics leg training. Now I understand why I had never heard of it, keep it that way. But danced freely.
