My weekly 09/2024 with many administrative things and the PET scan for my stepfather, very curious about the results.
Monday February 26
Kids: First day back to school after the holidays.
Work: Was a nice day.
Fathers: Hospital called me because they couldn’t get a hold of Joe. Went through the entire checklist, later passed it on to Joe.
Kids: Taken to the riding school. Nina had fallen off again.
Sports: After the supermarket and putting food in the steam oven, I went for a quick run to combat the muscle pain from Saturday when I trained my legs a little too hard.
Family time: Everyone ate kale and was still hungry, so we baked banana pancakes together.
Fathers: In the evening Joe came by. His back had to be rubbed again and he had some mail to decipher. Immediately arranged municipal tax direct debit.
Me-time: Kids iPad and I just write.

Tuesday
Work: Just delicious.
Sports: Do 10 kilometer intervals together during the break. It went well despite the muscle pain.
Fathers: I called my father in the afternoon. His car was condemned and beyond repair, so he was a bit sad. And the nurse had come by and indicated that from now on he is really not allowed to drive, not even short distances. He stares a lot and she was afraid it was epilepsy, so of course he is not allowed to drive. Only he can’t cycle and he’s really not a walker, so I’m afraid he won’t get anywhere anymore. His wife cannot do all the shopping by bike. We’re going to experience it.

Wednesday
Sports: An hour of pilates and then an hour at the gym.
Kids: Both out early, so we all have lunch together.
Fathers: Stepfather went to the hospital sober for his PET scan, he had put milk and sugar in his tea, which apparently was not allowed. Fortunately, the scan was still possible in the afternoon.
His sister came over from England alone, so he couldn’t pick her up from Schiphol, so we did.
Mom: I tried to activate my mother’s ABN account via the app and online, but I couldn’t get it to work without an identifier, so I ordered an old-fashioned thing.
Home: Working together in the garden. Hubby gets to work with the high-pressure cleaner and I prune and sweep.

Thursday
Work: Had a great time, did some nice creative things.
Mother: Received the Identifier from the ABN, but the thing doesn’t turn on at all, even after being plugged in. I’ll visit my stepfather sometime to activate the app.
Fathers: My father has had a swollen neck for several days. My sister-in-law has urged them to inform their GP. And he secretly drove the car again yesterday. Only to the supermarket, but still, if something happens. I hold my breath.
Friday
Work: At home with the cat on my lap, very nice work.
Money: We immediately filed our 2023 tax return.
Fathers: At the end of the afternoon to my father and his wife, because she was 66 years old. We had a nice chat, ate and drank a few beers. His neck was indeed thick, but the doctor was not going to do anything about it.
Later that evening we went to the Thomas café, because my stepfather was there with his brother-in-law. Had a great time and had a few beers.

Saturday
Me-time: Another morning of Coderdojo. This time everything was completely gradual again. One group started with HTML/CSS, one with Python, three with the Micro-bit for the first time and there are always a few who gravitate toward programmable Lego.
Made my own Coderdojo basic website, just for fun.
Enjoy typing in the afternoon, such as:
Blog: My cuddly cat
Kids: Spent the entire afternoon playing with friends, painting and in the playground outside (mud).
Bake pancakes together for dessert. Then they went to stay with the girl next door.

Sunday
Me-time: I just woke up at 9:00 am, wonderful!
Fathers: Visiting my stepfather to get all the administration stuff saved up. It took more than an hour, but those things really have to be done.
House: Both busy at home. I vacuum the whole house, so I never do that. Is not it great. 😉
Bucket list: Decluttering. The entire stair cupboard was emptied, including the freezer. Both freezers emptied and combined into one freezer. The other was placed outside in the sun. Let the ladies sort out all the mess. 3 garbage bags thrown away. I like this so much. Overview.
Sports: Walked together in the sun.
My weekly 09/2024 ended with a little too little exercise, but that’s okay sometimes. But we had some nice moments with the kids and it was very tidy. Oh, and that sun was really enjoyable too!
