My weekly 2025/09

My weekly 2025/09 with a lot of tinkering on my website regarding SEO, cookies, analytics, and testing with ads.

Monday, February 24

Work: First day back at work after the vacation.

Kids: Nina was still off, so she stayed in her onesie until the afternoon. Then we picked up the neighbor’s daughter from school and went shopping together. In the evening, rollerblading with a big group.

Therapy: Another body-oriented therapy session. Super nice. There will be a blog about it with all the sessions together.

Website: In the evening, I added meta descriptions to all blog categories. Just fun to do those things occasionally.

Thankfulness: Having my Whiskey with me all day.

Tuesday

Work: Yup, Whiskey on my lap, music on, and wearing running clothes.

Sports: Interval training during the break. For the first time using my Garmin watch. Super handy.

Website: Tinkering with Google Adsense, Google Analytics & Complianz cookies.

Thankfulness: Having the opportunity to go running during the break.

Wednesday

Sports: Running almost 13 km together at an easy pace. Clear blue sky and just warm.

Therapy: Hypnosis pre-talk. Talked for 3.5 hours, wow, so many insights already.

Kids: Nina to gymnastics. Nikki wanted to do something together, so we made bracelets. So cozy.

TV: Watching PSV – GAE, KNVB Cup semi-final. GAE won, amazing.

Thankfulness: For that lovely sunshine today. It was wonderful to run in my T-shirt.

Thursday

Work: Got a lot of work done in the morning and mostly meetings in the afternoon. Also planned the rest of my days off.

Kids: Nina was happily working on her project about Edam next to me, and then typing her book. Me-time: Went to the library with Nikki. Returned all my books. I just couldn’t get into them, the type of book didn’t appeal to me at the moment (last week it did: Ayurveda, herbal kitchen, etc.). And now I came home with a huge bag of books. Completely different genres, mostly about emotions. Probably because of my conversation with the hypnotherapist. And even started a new normal novel in the evening. While I hadn’t read or watched anything for a week.

Me-time: Husband went running, kids arranged to play Star Stable online. I was in my room with headphones on, listening to emotional music and crying my eyes out. So good.

TV: The other KNVB Cup semi-final. Heracles – AZ. Wow, it was exciting. Overtime and penalties. Heracles was ahead with penalties, and eventually, AZ won. Madness there.

Thankfulness: I’m finding this increasingly difficult because I don’t want to write down empty words. What am I really thankful for today? Hmm, that music emotionally moves me, allowing my emotions to flow (read: tears).

Friday

Work: Very quiet, just a few small things, but already started wrapping up with documentation, etc.

Sports: Ran a 7 km loop with Indra during the break. Nice to catch up.

Home: In the late afternoon, we emptied the shoe cabinet together, filled two garbage bags with shoes for the Salvation Army (just from the two of us), and refilled the cabinet.

Thankfulness: The ability to manage my own time, allowing me to run during the break.

Calendar: You as a source: You never lose yourself, there are layers that can be peeled away. Say no to things that no longer fit and make sure you feel what is right for you now.

Saturday

Sports: Interval training on the track together. Ended up doing 3x 1000 meters. 1x just hard, the second time as hard as I could, which became a PR => 4:02. Then Remco tested his spikes with a 400 meter p = 60 seconds, and another 200 meters. As a treat, another quick 1000 meters, and then our muscles were done.

Step-dad: Was out for the day, so we walked the dogs. Lovely in the sun. Step-mom: First went out for gifts and then to her birthday.

Shopping: The kids were allowed to shop online for clothes, each with about €100. Ordered a bunch with Nikki right away. Nina didn’t have time and would look for something later.

Home: Nina slept over at a friend’s house, husband went to friends, Nikki snuggled up in bed with me. So nice to cuddle up again.

Thankfulness: My mother-daughter evening.

Sunday

Kids: Up early because the girls had a make-up horse riding lesson. And I went to watch. Brought a book and was instructed to film the gallop. We had to scrape the car in the morning, it was 0 degrees.

Shopping: Nina also picked out clothes for €100 and ordered them right away. And I joined in. Although I didn’t just buy clothes, I also got a few packs of (oracle) cards.

Kids: Rearranged Nina’s room. She didn’t get that from strangers. Then they were tinkering around. It didn’t last long because soon they went out with the two neighbor girls. Didn’t see them for the rest of the day.

Home: Sat on the lounge set in the garden and finished a book (in 3 days). Just in my T-shirt. Unbelievably nice!

Thankfulness: That the weather is already so nice.
