Here is my very first music challenge, and I’m starting with: Who is Calling by Tatarola. For me, it’s nostalgic music from the year 1996.
It’s fun to think about which songs I always play in the car. Music is also just emotion, and all these songs bring up the necessary emotions for me. Usually, only positive, fun memories. Just enjoying.
Who is Calling?
The first 20 seconds you probably think, “WTF, what is this nonsense?” Well, it kind of is, that babbling really makes no sense, but it’s funny. From 54 seconds is really the most beautiful part. This part has to be played so incredibly loud in the car. Unfortunately, the speakers in my little C1 aren’t that good, but when I’m out with my husband’s car, well, after this song, I might have a bit of extra hearing damage. But it’s worth it.
This song takes me back to the year 1996. With my girlfriends at two friends’ car. A small old rusty wreck, but we had so much fun. Back then, mobile phones were just starting to become popular, so when this song first came on, we were really confused if a mobile phone was interfering, but it turned out to be in the song. We don’t really know that kind of mobile interference anymore.
But anyway, when I hear this song, I just get goosebumps and a smile automatically appears on my face. Maybe I even drive a bit faster because of it. But I still think it’s a fantastic song. That’s why I’m using this song for my very first music challenge.
