During a lecture, I saw a card lying around that kept drawing my attention, which is why I booked a hypno introduction. It said the introduction would last 45 minutes. It ended up being quite a bit longer, as I was there for almost 3 hours.
During our conversation, we quickly got to my fear of the cold. This hinders me in my daily life, but I had never really thought about it. I had concluded that I was born with a low body temperature, and therefore my body temperature is just a bit lower than others. But my daughter was also born with a low body temperature, and she is always warm.
The cold hinders me in so many ways because I am unconsciously always preoccupied with it. Whether it’s summer or winter, I am always preparing for the moment it gets a bit colder, so there always have to be clothes ready to put on. I would never go to the beach without a sweater because what if a cloud passes by or a cold wind picks up, then I am prepared. I also often wear a wool sweater because it’s just nice and warm. A thinner shirt is not an option because then I can feel the cold on my skin. And so, I am constantly preoccupied with it, which of course takes quite a bit of energy.
The Intro Hypno Session
I was lying on a massage table and got a blanket over me. While she was talking to me, I sank deeper and deeper. It felt like a meditation or visualization, but even deeper. And actually, it went quite quickly, that depth.
I was taken to the work center of my brain. I had an image like in the movie Inside Out, with a big panel with all kinds of buttons and screens. Eventually, it looked a bit different, and I was in a room with many windows. My intuition came to visit, and we sat together on the couch. She looked a bit like a wooden pawn, but with light blue angel wings. We held hands and talked, but I don’t remember what was said. At the end, I was taken to another brain room, and that was the part where my fear of the cold was.
Actually, I did a lot during the session, but I can’t remember it well, so it has become quite a short story.
When I came out of my hypnosis, my neck hurt a lot because my head had tilted to the side, and my neck was in a strange position for the entire session. But I didn’t really notice it during the session.
Conclusion
I found it a very beautiful journey, including the enlightening conversation. I definitely wanted to do something with this, so I immediately booked a complete hypno session, consisting of three sessions. I am very curious to see if my fear of the cold will lessen because of this.
