About Erhwald
Ehrwald is a charming village in the Tyrolean Zugspitz Arena, located at the foot of the Zugspitze, the highest mountain in Germany. Here are some interesting facts and highlights about Ehrwald:
- Location: Ehrwald is situated at an altitude of approximately 1,000 meters and is surrounded by beautiful mountain landscapes.
- Activities: The village offers a wide range of activities, both in summer and winter. In winter, you can enjoy skiing in three different ski areas: Ehrwalder Alm, Wettersteinbahnen, and Zugspitzplatt. In summer, there are numerous hiking and biking trails, as well as a golf course and a 3D archery range.
- History: Ehrwald was first mentioned in 1274. The village has a rich history, including mining and the production of barrel staves.
- Family-friendly: Ehrwald is known for its child-friendly environment and good accessibility.
