My dearest photo

Writing Assignment #120 – Your Dearest Photo, from 365 Days of Writing. This is one of my dearest photos.

I took this photo a few years ago of my daughters. I had just completed a photography course and was experimenting a lot. This photo is one of those experiments. The photo is sweeter than sweet, because I had the girls hold donuts, along with stuffed animals, the pink wall, and their onesies.

When I suggested this photo to the girls, they were immediately enthusiastic. Especially about the donut part, of course. So, we went out together to get donuts and created a beautiful setting. The girls were always up for experimental photos. They still are, by the way. Even if there are no donuts or other edible things involved.

The photo itself may not be perfect, but it is perfect to me. Because it was just such a fun moment for us together. Discussing the idea, going to the supermarket to get donuts, setting up the scene, and eventually eating the donuts.

I have many physical photo albums and online photo albums, but this is definitely one of my dearest photos.
