Bucket list 2024
What do I really want to do this year? 2+0+2+4=8, so I’m going for 8 items on my 2024 bucket list.
- Continue blogging for a year. Not every day, that’s an exaggeration, but it would be nice. Just write to me. Putting the brain to work creatively. Thinking about my life, feeling everything.
- Complete the 2023/2024 running competition season and finish on the women’s podium. Last year I was 4th, which is just nothing. Wasn’t bad either, because it was my first year.
- Trying out 3 recipes that have been on my recipe bucket list for a long time: corn soup, bami soup and date bars.
- Throwing away a lot. I did a tiny bit last year, but I really want to minimize this year. I can’t take things with me when I die. So instead of buying stuff, I want to make more memories, because I will take them with me.
- I want to visit a city I’ve never been to. Last year I finally visited Bourtange, beautiful! There are still a number of options on my places/attractions bucket list, such as the Moses Bridge in Halsteren or the pyramid of Austerlitz.
- Try new things. Every year I do things I have never done before, because I like to challenge myself. I have already planned to attend a lecture on forest bathing. I never attend lectures, so that’s new and I have no idea what a forest bath is. I haven’t looked it up yet, so I’ll be surprised. A singing bowl/cocoa ceremony dedicated to grieving is also on the program. I have done singing bowl and cocoa before, but never anything with this theme. And since I just lost my mother and will lose my father and stepfather this year, I liked this combination, I’m curious. And then of course continue this trend for the rest of the year.
- Ecstatic dance with a group. I’ve done it a few times before and I had a blast. I just haven’t done it for a long time, it just didn’t happen. I have recently started doing it often at home, which is also wonderful. But I would like to be in a group again, just that connection.
- Practicing yoga. I stopped doing yoga when I was heavily pregnant and could no longer participate in exercises, that was over 13 years ago. Now I’m really starting to become a stiff. I do a lot of running, but that doesn’t help with flexibility. Practicing regularly at home, in a group, doesn’t matter to me, as long as I do it.
