Driving with a burn-out is almost impossible because it is difficult to concentrate, especially thinking logically.
Driving stress
The panic starts before I walk to the car. Where is my car key anyway? Do I need to bring anything else? These are not easy assignments for someone who is overstressed.
Driving itself is usually on autopilot, but right now I think it is extremely dangerous. My reaction time is lacking. I forget to brake at the traffic light because I was distracted by something else. Or I just forget to pull up. My attention span is so terribly short.
I can look left and right six times without knowing whether another road user was approaching. Just to be sure, I’m going to look again, because I had already forgotten what I saw.
Switching the radio to another station is not possible at all. Normally multitasking in the car is not a problem. At the moment, operating the car radio is already difficult if I stand completely still. All those different buttons and options. Which one was for what again? Imagine what that’s like when I’m driving. So not a good option.
But yes, the radio has to be switched off, because I can’t stand music well. It makes me so overstimulated and irritated. I can only tolerate very quiet music of a certain genre. At home, not in the car. Not to mention advertising, I hate it so much and I can’t stand it even if I’m in good shape. So in the meantime I’m half in the other lane when I finally manage to turn off the music.
No, driving with a burn-out is actually not a good idea at all. It all seems possible, but in fact it is simply not possible.
