Recipe: Banana Bread

Time for a new recipe: banana bread. The last three times it failed, but I had never made this variant before. Although I did tweak it here and there.

Ingredients

  • 3 overripe bananas
  • 2 tablespoons 100% peanut butter
  • 120 ml milk
  • 200 grams whole wheat flour
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tablespoons oil
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder


For extra taste:

  • Vanilla extract
  • Cinnamon
  • Nuts
  • Chocolate chips
  • Raisins

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 185 degrees Celsius.
  2. Mash the bananas in a large bowl.
  3. Add the peanut butter, milk, egg, oil, vanilla extract, and cinnamon. Mix well.
  4. Add the whole wheat flour and baking powder and mix until smooth.
  5. Pour the batter into a greased baking tin.
  6. Bake the banana bread for about 45 minutes in the preheated oven, or until a toothpick comes out clean.

Optionally, you can add raisins, nuts, or chocolate chips to the batter for extra flavor.
